Pori is a major port city on the south-west coast of Finland. It faces onto and is separated from neighboring Sweden by the Gulf of Bothnia. One of Pori’s outstanding features is the city’s four-mile long stretch of sand, Yyteri Beach.

View the feed from the Yyteri Beach cam and take a look at the largest dunescape in Europe. It’s pretty impressive. Now almost a resort in its own right, at Yyteri Beach there’s a great variety of recreational facilities ranging from a golf course to a spa and plenty of interesting eateries.

When visitors to Pori can drag themselves away from Yyteri Beach, they head to the village of Reposaari for some sightseeing. Reposaari is on an island in Bothnian Bay. What draws visitors to the quaint village are its unique wooden structures dating back to the early 19th century. You don’t need to go to Pori to see it.
