Does Park Rapids have any claim to fame? Not really, but they might have done if someone hadn’t dammed the Fish Hook River where the rapids were that the city was named after. Still even if you can’t see any water on this cam, there is plenty nearby as Park Rapids is close to around seventy lakes. Maybe it’s time the locals considered changing the city’s name from rapids to lake as it seems a more fitting description. Park Lakes has quite a good ring to it, don’t you think?
