Merindades Natura Nature Webcams in Medina De Pomar

Where do Spanish hedgehogs go when they need a holiday? The hedgehog hotel at the Merindades Natura, a mini nature reserve in the town of Medina de Pomar, of course – or at least those in the vicinity of this adapted garden do. And, according to the hedgehogs that snuffle their way into this facility, it gets a five star rating as there’s a hedgehog friendly buffet included for visitors too.

This collection of nature webcams will give you a good idea of the fauna that wanders, flies, slithers or swims through the countryside and rivers of Castillo y Leon, a mountainous region of northwest Spain. Some of that fauna, and especially when suitably encouraged, inevitably ends up making diurnal and nocturnal visits to urbanised areas so be prepared to be surprised at the variety of creatures you can spot on these live feeds.

Keep an eye on the bird feeder cam and there could be anything from a common blue tit to a hoopoe to a woodpecker drop by for a feed. The pond is a popular spot for frogs, toads and salamanders and, if you’re an avid watcher, you never know your luck, you might just spy some deer, wild boar or a fox going about their business on the live feed focused on the Tesla Mountains. Gracias to Merindades Natura for sharing – estamos encantados.
