Praia dos Milionários Webcam in São Vicente

Whether or not there are any millionaires residing in the highrises overlooking this beach in São Vicente is something only they would know. It’s definitely a million dollar view though or would be if it wasn’t for the mish-mash of cables running through the palm trees.

One of the best moments to check out this live feed is at sunrise which happens at around 06.30am Brazilian time. Click in then and you’ll see all of the skyscrapers in the distance turn gold as the early morning rays strike them. It’s a spectacular well worth setting your alarm clock for.

While São Vicente may be blessed to have the Praia dos Milionários, Millionaires Beach, lining part of its Atlantic Ocean seafront, it’s only a relatively small stretch of sand. And one where there’s definitely not enough space for all of the three-hundred thousand São Vicente locals to spread their towels.

At first glance, this skyscraper-infested shoreline appears totally modern, but São Vicente’s history dates back to the mid-16th century. That’s when Portuguese explorers first set foot there and constructed a port to expand their slave trading business. Thankfully those days are over, but the Portuguese influence still lingers and probably always will do as São Vicente was named for the Portuguese saint, Saint Vincent of Saragossa.
