Storks Nest Cam in Altlandsberg

Storks just love to build their nests in the most precarious of places. The pair you can see via this live feed didn’t choose a chimney stack or a rooftop, but a spot with a very scenic view. Let’s face it, if you’re going to be sitting on a batch of eggs for a month then you might as well have something pleasant to look at. And these storks that are nesting near Altlandsberg in northeast Germany certainly do.

Thankfully there’s no sound on this cam otherwise the chattering, beak clattering storks use to communicate to each other would spoil the tranquillity of this peaceful scene. What they’re saying is anyone’s guess, but if it’s the female doing the clacking guaranteed she’s chastising her partner for arriving late for his incubating shift as he off fishing. Once the eggs have hatched, you’ll be able to watch the chicks for around two months before they’re ready to fly the nest. Keep popping back. It’s exciting viewing.
