Eide is a coastal village on the Romsdal Peninsula in a remote part of western Norway. Small, it may be but it can lay claim to being the location of one of the greatest feats of engineering of the 20th century, the Atlantic Ocean Road.

The Atlantic Ocean Road should be one of the wonders of the modern world. The twisted eight and a quarter kilometre long roadway snakes from Eide over the water to the island of Averøy. No, the amazing road doesn’t come into view on this live feed so you’ll just have to make do with craggy peaks instead.
