Kanazawa is a major port city on the north-west shore of the Japanese island of Honshu. Even the massive urbanization of Kanazawa can’t detract from the region’s natural beauty.

Kanasawa is fronted by the Sea of Japan, backed by the Japanese Alps and the Hakusan National Park where a dormant volcano, Mt Haku, rises above the forests of oak and beech.

Man has tried to make his mark on this Japanese landscape by building incredible structures like the Kanazawa Castle, the Seisonkaku Villa, and the Myoryuji Temple. While Kanazawa is famous for its production of gold leaf, it doesn’t matter how much they embellish the buildings they still don’t compare with what nature created.
