Thanks to Surfline who streams this live feed you can get a glimpse of Bournemouth pier, well almost. If the angle was adjusted just a little then you’d get a better view of this Dorset seaside resort’s iconic Victorian pier. As it is you’ll have to make do with a few salt-encrusted planks and the tops of people’s heads as they wander past on their way to the amusement arcades. Still, the view of the sands and the gloriously grey waters of the English Channel is, more or less, compensation enough.

After a few minutes of viewing this cam, you may well be left pondering about a very important subject when it comes to British seaside resorts. The leading question is – where are all the seagulls? The answer – probably air raiding the customers of the nearest fish and chip shop and quite honestly, who can blame them?
