Humpback Whale Sanctuary on Maui

This webcam not only will give you an idea of the fabulous and tranquil views when staying at the Maui Sands on the island of Maui (and has a incredibly relaxing audio feed too!) but also serves a greater purpose. The area out to sea is a humpback whale sanctuary where mating of the North Pacific variety takes place. You can spot them on this camera mainly between December and April.

Researchers at NOAA are keen to hear of sightings of humpback whales where something untoward may have happened. Check the source of the cam for more details and to help support the running of the live feed.
