Berehove is a city close to the Ukraine-Hungary border that can’t quite make its mind up exactly which country it’s actually in.

The building that dominates the views of Kossuth Square on these cams is the Ferenc Rakoczi II Transcarpathian Hungarian College of Higher Education which is a very respected academic institution. The college isn’t the only Hungarian influence in Berehove. The city is home to most of the Hungarian people living in Ukraine and has such a close association with the neighbouring country that Hungarian is also an official language of the city.
