Burgas Beach Arena Beach Sports Webcams

Drop by this collection of live feeds streaming from Burgas in the wintertime and within seconds, you’ll probably agree that the quagmire you’ll see is more apt to mud wrestling than it is to beach volleyball. Don’t get too excited though, views of girls in bikinis wallowing in the mud just isn’t going to happen here. Come back when the weather’s better, late spring or summer, and these sandy courts will have a completely different outlook.

Burgas is a city on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria that, much the same as the rest of Europe, isn’t blessed with year-round sunshine. If you’re in the process of planning a winter getaway that involves topping up your tan and are checking out prospective locations, you might want to think again. Sunlight is pretty scarce in Burgas from November through to March. You definitely wouldn’t want to be getting your kit off and go lounging on the sands when the temperature hovers just below 10ºC most days during that period.

That said though, if sightseeing rather than sunbathing is what you’re after, you may well be checking out the right place. There’s lots of historic sites and museums to explore. You’ll also be in the right place if you’re into spotting birds that aren’t seagulls after stealing chips from tourists as they stroll through the city’s famous seafront park, the Sea Garden. The nearby Lake Burgas and the Burgas Wetlands are the habitat for well over two-hundred species of birds many of which are endangered. So, on that score, if you’re into feathers rather than Factor 50 sun lotion, it’s time to start packing your suitcase.
