Across the square to the left you can spot the well-preserved remains of the Roman-built Temple of Augustus.

The temple isn’t the only thing the Romans left in Pula. They also left a shipbuilding patrimony and that’s one of the things, apart from ancient Roman ruins, that the city is known for today.
