Padel in Action in Palma

Watching the players at the Fit Point Padel Club in Palma de Mallorca play a game of padel is very similar to watching the vintage video game called Pong.

Padel is a fast and furious game that originated in Mexico in the late 1960s and has taken Spain by storm ever since. The racquet sport is played in a walled court that, like tennis, is marked differently for singles and doubles matches. Apart from the court and the scoring technique which is also the same as tennis, that’s pretty much where the similarities end because, just like Pong, bouncing the ball off the walls is all part of the game.
