While Kyoto on Honshu Island in Japan has enough Buddhists temples, Shinto shrines and historic districts for three cities let alone one, it’s not shy of showing off its technology either.

Be prepared to be completely mesmerized by the illuminated staircase streaming on this live feed from Kyoto Station. The staircase has over one-hundred and fifty steps lit by thousands of multi-colored LED lights. The displays change depending on the time of the year and could be anything from Santa on his sleigh to springtime cherry blossom or autumn leaves.

It’d be a major feat to walk up the Kyoto Station illuminated staircase without falling over as it’s brighter and flashes more than the neon signs on the Las Vegas strip.
