Kiwanis Smart Lake in York City

The Kiwanis Lake is a manmade lake in York City, Pennsylvania, that as it approaches its hundredth birthday is getting a serious makeover.

Once the beautifying project is over, Kiwanis Lake will be a lot smarter in more ways than one. Part of the Kiwanis Lake makeover project includes installing Smart technology to monitor things in the lake like water levels and pollution. Keeping an eye on the spillway is also an important part of the project as it has been known to malfunction on occasion. There will eventually be a new, and more decorative fountain at the centre of the lake and it would be a smart move if that was on cam too.
