The seven kilometers of quays already existing in the port aren’t quite enough to cope with the four thousand ferries plus cargo ships that arrive annually so they’re adding more. More quays, more berths, a new pier and a floating dock will mean it’s very unlikely any other port in Denmark will ever knock it off its number one spot. The expansion works are scheduled for completion by July 2021 so enjoy the mayhem of cranes and construction while it lasts.
