Kiel Harbour and a Kestrel Nest Box from St. Nikolai Church

These two live feeds streaming from Kiel in northern Germany are complete contrasts in two ways. First the subject they’re related to and secondly the views they provide.

The Kiel Harbour cam will give you great views of the city’s cruise ship quays on the Keeler Förde while the Kestrel cam will show you the piece of wood making up the back of the nest box. Kiel Harbour is one of the busiest ports in Germany and handles well over half a million passengers annually. Sadly, so far at least, the kestrel box is not quite so busy, but hopefully a breeding pair will move in soon and there’ll be some egg laying and chick hatching to liven up the lack of action.
