The City of Most Market Place Webcam
Most is a city in Czechia that has come a long way since it was founded in the 10th century in the then bog-ridden north of the country. In bygone days, it was necessary to cross numerous bridges to get to the ancient urbanisation. These days, even though the city is named after those bridges, most means bridge in the Czech language, it’s accessible by road and rail with not a swampy bog to be seen.
Why did folks flock to the bog country when there was plenty of dry land further afield? Lignite and coal were discovered there and the mining industry took over. These days Most is a prosperous city and home to almost sixty-five thousand people. Will it continue to keep developing and if so, how? Who knows. Like the first inhabitants of Most, they’ll probably cross that bridge when they come to it.
