Mercer in Wisconsin may not look like much when you take a first glance at it on this collection of webcams. To be fair, it’s an amazing place for outdoor recreation all year round and the locals have a good sense of humour so kudos to them too.

Mercer likes to call itself The Loon Capital of the World and boy do they love this waterbird. So much so, they have a statue of one at the entrance to the town which is affectionately called, Claire D’Loon. They’ve also got over seventy thousand acres of forest and more than two hundred lakes none of which they’re shy of boasting about. If you’re looking for indoor activities, Mercer really isn’t the place to be. From fishing to hiking to canoeing to, well, you name it and in Mercer it’ll be done outdoors.
