Lyon Railcam near Perrache Station

As far as railcams go this one streaming from near Perrache Station in the French city of Lyon, is pretty scenic. There’s no shortage of passing trains, cargo or passenger, either.

Perrache Station sits in an area of the city which is almost totally surrounded by the Saône and Rhône rivers. On this cam though you can just see one of the waterways, the Rhône, where it’s crossed by the Pont Gallieni.

With Lyon in the background, it’s a pretty picturesque stopping place for the trains when they’re waiting for the red light to turn green so they can trundle into the station. When there’s no trains on the bridge or passing through, the traffic and clouds reflected in the river makes interesting alternative viewing.
