With a waterfront view like the one on this cam, Barnacle Billy’s has to be the one of the best places to hang out in Ogunquit. That is unless you’re a lobster or any other type of edible crustacean or shellfish.

Barnacle Billy’s seafood restaurant in Perkins Cove has been boiling up lobsters and turning clams in chowder to satisfy the appetites of their clients since 1961. To save you trying to calculate how long that might be in your head – the answer is sixty-three years. The freshly caught Maine lobster they serve has proved to be so popular, they opened another restaurant right next door. Barnacle Billy’s, Etc. While they may never be short of lobster, there may well have been a lack of inspiration when it came to the name. But still, if it works, and sixty-three years proves it does, why change it?
