Going up a ski slope is easy, that’s what chairlifts are for, but coming down can be quite a lot trickier and pretty nerve-racking especially if you’re a novice.

You can get a general idea of how it would feel to stand at the top of a ski run with the View of Rysstad feed on the Brokke Winter Sports Center webcam streaming here direct from Norway. Flip over to the ski slope feed and you’ll see it from a different angle. It’s easy to imagine looking up from there while performing a victorious air punch after you’ve successfully slid from the top to the bottom – so long as you arrive intact and there’s no guarantee of that!
