Vancouver Cruise Ships and City Views
Join this live feed being streamed from Vancouver and it won’t be long before you’re holding your hands over your ears. While the scene looks peaceful enough, it’s definitely not. Day or night, the background noise is a little difficult to deal with. Blasting at your eardrums during the daytime will be the sound of passing trains and car horns honking while at night there’s a sonic buzz that will leave the hairs on your arms standing to attention if you listen too long. The best thing to do is mute the sound so you can enjoy the panoramic views of this city on the Burrard Peninsula of British Columbia in peace.
If you’re an avid fan of cruise ships then you’ll appreciate the text at the bottom of the screen which tells you the time of the last sailing. Don’t worry if you’ve missed the boat, you can just scroll back through the feed’s timeline and watch it happen as if it were live. That said, you probably won’t need to as the Port of Vancouver’s cruise ship terminal, Canada Place, is a hub for twenty different cruise lines and its three berthing spaces can accommodate up to four ships at the same time.
In 2025, three hundred cruise ships are scheduled to dock at Canada Place. The number of passengers disembarking, and embarking, those ships is expected to reach well over a million. If you’re in Vancouver and crowd phobic, you’ll want to avoid the area during weekends, from Friday through to Monday, which is when anywhere up to fifty thousand folks splurge down the gangplanks and head into the city for a quick bit of sightseeing. Best way to see Vancouver and stay away from the mayhem? Keep watching this feed – with the sound off.
