Lake Erie Live Charter Fishing Boat Webcam
There’s one sport, or hobby, used by numerous men, and sometimes women, to get a bit of time away from their beloved other halves. It’s also a great way to avoid the mundanity of those seemingly endless weekend chores like mowing the lawn, washing the car or cleaning out the garage. Strange as it may seem, when a wife or partner hears the words – I’m going fishing – they know they’re also in for a peaceful day, or if they strike lucky, an entire weekend.
If you’re one of those folks who like to stick a sign up saying “gone fishing”, but for whatever reason can’t escape from the daily droll, then you’ll love these feeds streamed by David Cremer. David charters fishing boats on Lake Erie in Ohio and when they’re live, these cams deliver the whole caboodle. You’ll be able to join him in the harbour before they set sail, watch the action when they’re out on the water or just take in the tranquil views of the Lake Erie shore. It’s one way of making a day of it without actually going anywhere. Well, at least until you get dragged away to unblock a sink or help fold the laundry.
What would you be likely to catch if you were fishing on Lake Erie? According to Dr Seuss not a lot, but that’s not exactly true. In this massive expanse of water that’s almost four-hundred kilometres long and a hundred wide, there are fish aplenty. Think catfish, bass, and trout to name just three along with walleye and numerous other species. What most anglers dream of catching though is a lake sturgeon that weighs in at over a hundred kilos in hope of beating the lake’s biggest fish ever caught there record. That record has been standing for almost a century so good luck with that. In the meantime, to David, his crew and all Lake Erie anglers, whether they’re casting their hooks from a boat or on the shore, we wish you – peace, tranquility and of course, a good few hours of happy fishing.
