Founded in 1878, Telluride is a former mining town in the Rocky Mountains. Its name derives from tellurium – the element which indicates the presence of gold in the ground.

There are spectacular views around the town of the mountains as it nestles in a canyon. It has been listed as the number 1 best small town to visit in the USA, and popular with skiers and festival goers.

The downtown webcam pans around the main street, giving you an idea of the scale of the surrounding beautiful scenery.

The Mountain Village cam is Southwest of Telluride, providing spectacular snow-covered mountainous resort views in season, and lovely greenery in the summer months.
