Apex Downtown Webcam
Don’t be surprised if viewing Downtown Apex, a town in Wake County, North Carolina, on this webcam gives you a feeling of deja vu. It’s very reminiscent of a main street from an old Wild West movie, but without the cowboys, horses and tumbleweeds.
Many of the buildings in the downtown district of Apex date back to the late 19th and early 20th century. It doesn’t appear to have changed much since then as there’s only been a few advancements to modern times since Apex was just a train depot in the forest used for shipping out lumber. The main one is the addition of a few stop lights on Salem Street which, while they’re often on red, don’t appear to prevent the vehicles from heading out of town and going somewhere else.
