Albufeira Lagoon Webcam
The Albufeira Lagoon is not a bad place to choose if you want to have a paddle in shallow water surrounded by a flock or two of wading birds doing exactly the same.
Don’t let the name confuse you. This kilometre-long lagoon is nowhere near the Portugese city of the same name, but just a short drive from the country’s capital, Lisbon. Formed by the convergence of three rivers heading towards the Atlantic Ocean, the lagoon and its surroundings are a popular spot for people who enjoy hiking and bird watching. It’s also a popular spot for folks to go traipsing through in their flip-flops on the way to the unspoiled white sand beaches that line this part of the Costa de Caparica.
