Ramsgate Royal Harbour Webcam

Looking out across Ramsgate’s Royal Harbour, this camera gives you a proper seaside view of boats, breakwaters and that squat little lighthouse sitting proudly at the end of the arm. The stream shifts between angles, so you might be watching the marina one minute and out toward the Channel the next. On a clear day it’s all bright and breezy; when the weather turns, it can get properly dramatic with waves and grey skies rolling in.

Ramsgate itself has a bit of pedigree, being the only harbour in the UK granted “Royal” status, and it’s long been a working port as well as a marina for smaller craft. These days it’s a mix of fishing boats, leisure yachts and the occasional bit of harbour activity, with the town rising up behind it in that classic Kent seaside fashion.

The stream comes with its own soundtrack too, which is where things take a slight turn. You’re watching an English harbour, possibly in drizzle, while something distinctly American and country-flavoured plays in the background. It shouldn’t really work, but somehow it does. Either way, it’s an easy one to leave on, even if you’re not entirely sure why Nashville has drifted into Ramsgate.

You don't have any favourites yet.
