The Buffalo Bills New Highmark Stadium Webcam
Take one look at the new Buffalo Bills stadium, and even though construction is still in progress, you’ll probably be happy to agree it’s a reflection of good taste design-wise. If you’re not a fan of the Buffalo Bills then you’re probably eating your heart out because your team doesn’t have a stadium as flashy as this will be when it’s finally finished. Quite why this NFL team requires a new home base right next door to the one they already have and with a lesser seating capacity is a bit of a curious conundrum and incidentally, a conundrum that won’t be solved here.
While on this feed the work at the New Highmark Stadium appears to be almost complete, it’s not and won’t be until at least midway through 2026. That means this American football team will need to complete the 2025 season in the old Highmark Stadium no matter how shabby it’s become in the five decades since it opened. While the astro-turf covering the field at the old stadium may have grazed the knees of many a player, it’s worn considerably well and left little to no skid marks on their pants. Whether the Kentucky bluegrass that will be used for the new field will be as forgiving is yet to be seen. Our guess is, whoever does the team’s laundry might need to start considering some high-end stain removal products if they want to keep the team looking pristine.
If you’re more interested in crunching numbers than listening to the crunch of bones on the field during a game, you’ll enjoy the following comparison. It’s quite, let’s say, mindboggling. The original Highmark Stadium was built in 1973 for a cost of twenty-two million dollars. Even considering that that amount is comparable to around a hundred and fifty-odd million today, according to some sources, it’s not even close to what the new stadium is costing. The cost of the new stadium the Buffalo Bills will be playing in for the 2026 season is estimated to be in the region of two billion dollars or more. Yes, that’s going to take a lot of bums on seats for the investors to get their money back so let’s hope this New York-based football team has a better than mediocre season next year.
