Red-Tailed Hawks Nest Cam

Big Red (female) and Arthur (male) our the two red-tailed hawks who have taken up residency just above a sports field on the campus of Cornell University. Apparently the most common hawk in North America, they mainly eat mammals like voles and rabbits, and sometimes hunt in pairs catching squirrels. Quite the preditor!

These two have been breeding since 2018 (though Big Red was first tagged 15 years befoe that) so if you’re lucky in the season, you can watch them tending to the eggs and the young. The stream can be wound back a bit if it’s night time or the nest is empty to see if you can catch a glimpse!
