When you need a hefty dose of Caribbean sunshine to brighten up your day, these webcams of St John in the US Virgin Islands serve up a superior treat.

St John may only have nineteen square miles of terrain but it’s crammed to the hilt with scenic beauty and more than its fair share of natural wonders. St John’s coastline is full of picturesque bays lined with idyllic white sand beaches. It’s the sort of place that once visited would be hard to leave.

Thankfully, Chrisopher Columbus sailed straight past on his second exploring expedition of the 15th century. If he’d dropped anchor off St John, he may well have stayed there and forgotten all about discovering America. Now that would have been historic!
