Porto Santo Beach Webcam, Madeira
If you’re hoping to catch a quick glimpse of the beach on the Portuguese island of Porto Santo, you’re in the right place. A quick glimpse is what you’ll get with this live feed as the cam whizzes from one part to another at just under the speed of light.
The 42km² island of Porto Santo makes up part of the Madeira archipelago and is geographically closer to Morocco than it is to Portugal. The island, as well as having incredibly unspoilt beaches, has a historical claim to fame as it was the birthplace of Christopher Columbus’ wife. Not a great deal has happened there since that time which is probably a bonus as, apart from one town and a couple of golf courses, it remains relatively undeveloped.

I want audio sound on the webcam, please.
Came to Porto Santo in September and fell in love with it. Have been following on here since. Read a story from the Maderia News to say that the beach was now covered in shingle! Not from what I see on here.
Porto Santo beach again without sand and covered with pebbles
Tobi Hughes·18th December 2024
Madeira News
The emblematic Porto Santo beach, known worldwide for its extensive golden sand and therapeutic properties, is once again facing the disappearance of its sand, which has now been replaced by pebbles that cover a large part of the beach.
This phenomenon is not new, having already occurred on other occasions, especially when there were storms or strong waves, such as the one that occurred this weekend throughout the Region.
