Paarl and this golf course occupy part of the Paarl-Franschhoek valley which lies within a region of the country known as the Cape Winelands. On the valley’s fertile terrains they produce just about every type of wine going from chardonnay to shiraz. The golf course itself is bordered in parts by vineyards so if a shot goes astray and a ball leaves the course, retrieving it could see the golfer crushing grapes well before it’s even harvest time.
