If you’re hoping to see sand and palm trees on this live feed streaming from McKinley Beach you may be momentarily disappointed. The disappointment won’t last for long though as the views of Okanagan Lake and the pine trees that surround it may not be tropical, but they are breathtaking.

McKinley Beach, a suburb of the lakeside city of Kelowna in British Columbia, Canada, has just about everything a vacation destination requires to make it first class. And yes, that includes a kilometre-long stretch of pebble and sand beach with swim docks. That’s not what Kelowna is known for though. If you’re into oenotourism, in other words touring vineyards and knocking back a decent vintage or two, this place should definitely be somewhere to seriously consider visiting. Both the scenery and the wine produced here are world class.
