Take one glimpse at the first live feed of Bremen in this collection and you’ll quite probably come to the conclusion that this is a city on point. And not just because it’s well-organised, cultural or anything else you’d expect of a German city but, as you’ll notice as the cam pans around, because it has quite a lot of pointy, or better said, buildings with spires. That’s a point or two in its favour that makes it quite outstanding.

Breman is located in the northwest of Germany and has a history that dates back to well over a thousand years. That means it’s a place that’s had more than enough time to be inspirational to those folk of a creative nature whether they prefer words on a page or paint on a canvas. While it’s not as well known as some of the other Grimm Brothers fairy tales such as Hansel and Gretal or Cinderella, the city features as the backdrop in the story, the Town Musicians of Bremen. To date, it seems that it is one Grimm’s fairy tale that even Disney appears to have overlooked even though it is an interesting and quite on point representation of today’s economic and social state.

As you’ll notice when you flick onto the second cam in this collection, there’s no economic deficit when it comes down to building football stadiums. The Weser Stadium is a forty-thousand plus soccer and concert venue which overlooks the Weser River that originally opened in the late 1940s. After undergoing multiple renovations and updates, the cost of its construction and ongoing maintenance is estimated in the region of eighty million euros plus. Could that money have been put to better use? Probably only the town musicians would have the answer to that.
