The Port of Torredembarra

Torredembarra is a small seaside town on the Costa Dorada between Tarragona and Barcelona that hasn’t been engulfed by mass tourism so retains its old world Spanish ambience.

Torredembarra’s main outstanding feature is its sweep of golden beach that stretches along the Mediterranean coastline for almost a kilometre. While the beach’s name can be a little misleading, the Playa La Paella, it definitely consists of sand and not leftovers from the traditional Spanish rice dish. On this Torredembarra live feed though all you get to see is the marina which is fine if you have a yacht moored there. If not, it can get quite droll unless the boats are sailing in or out, but as they’re in the marina that’s a bit like watching slow motion as they’re not allowed to exceed the speed limit which is literally snail’s pace.
