Venice Beach is part of the larger town of Venice (which merged with Los Angeles back in the 1920s) and is a huge tourist draw due to the beachfront boardwalk and the attraction of street performers, entertainment, shops and services, plus the famous Muscle Beach! It’s also known for its celebrities and locations for various TV/film productions and is the home turf of Arnold Schwarzenegger. Along with a strong artistic and bohemian edge, it’s considered a cultural center of the area and so no wonder why a million people a year visit!
