Club 17 Beach Webcam in Texel
Have you been dreaming of packing a bag and running away from a mundane job to work in a beachside location where you can go surfing in your free time? Sounds like a great plan, doesn’t it? Watch this live feed being streamed from Club 17 in Texel for a couple of hours and you may well get an unwanted dose of reality. That reality will hit you when you realise just how hard working in hospitality in a tourist environment is.
Keeping customers happy in a beachside location is a nonstop occupation, but one that occasionally has certain compensations. Compensations like seeing the perfect wave roll in as you carry a tray loaded with drinks to a table. Or catching some UV rays while you work even if you end up with a suntan more patchy than a piebald equine. Should any of that put you off following your dream? Definitely not and especially if you’re considering heading to Texel.
Texel is an island in the northern region of the Netherlands. It forms part of the West Frisan archipelago where summers are short. That’s a bonus though as it basically means you won’t need a big budget to cover suncream expenditure unless you’re there in the warmer months of June, July, August and September. What can you do in Texel on your day off if the surf isn’t up and the wind isn’t blowing strong enough for kitesurfing? Go bird spotting in the dunes or pay a visit to the Ecomare seal sanctuary. Either will turn out to be equally rewarding. But for now, thanks to Club 17 for allowing us to join them and their hard-working staff on the beach albeit digitally. We loved it!
