Promenade Webcam in Gallipoli
If you’re thinking of reenacting a stroll along the seafront promenade of Gallipoli you might have had while on vacation in this Italian city, turn the sound off or it won’t be a peaceful one.
Gallipoli is a town divided into two parts. The historic district is located on an island just offshore of the heel of Italy’s boot-shaped coastline and is connected to the mainland by a 16th century bridge. The Lungomare Galilei that you can see on this webcam is a more recent addition to the modern side of the town and runs along the seafront for several kilometres. While the walled fortress-style Old Town is a place where you can immerse yourself in the tranquillity of cobbled streets and mediaeval architecture, the rest of Gallipoli is not. Wander along the Galilei Promenade, in reality or via this live feed, but do it wearing ear plugs or you won’t be able to enjoy the serenity of the Ionian Sea views for the constant noise of passing traffic.
