The River Severn, Britain’s longest river, flows through Shropshire and has carved magnificent valleys like the Severn Valley where the Severn Valley Steam Railway operates. Shropshires most famous historical town is Shrewsbury which dates back to Tudor times, was the birthplace of Charles Darwin and even though it has none high enough to compete with towers in the US, was were skyscrapers originated from.
