NASA’s Clean Room Webcam at the JPL in Pasadena

Take a look at this Clean Room webcam streaming from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena and you could be forgiven for asking the next question. Why is it called a clean room when there’s so much space junk lying around.

That’s not the way to keep a room clean, but it seems that NASA doesn’t mind a bit of mess as long as there’s no bacteria attached to it. The clean room is kept as sterile as possible to prevent any earth-bound germs being launched into space with the crafts they’re building there. What happens when someone sneezes? Only NASA knows.
