Ratingen has been settled since before the 9th century and has quite a few historic buildings to prove it. The urbanisation may have started off small, but now stretches its boundaries to encapsulate almost ninety square kilometres. The town’s population has increased in leaps and bounds from the mid-20th century onwards and is now home to close to ninety-thousand people. That’s a fact that indicates Ratingen most definitely has something good going for it even if it’s not blatantly obvious from these live feeds.
