A family run business since the 1700’s, the South Ferry depicted in this webcam shuttles people and vehicles (for a fee) between Shelter Island and North Haven in New York State.
The ferry itself operates in daylight hours, every single day of the year every 10 to 15 minutes – so you shouldn’t miss one if you watch this webcam for long enough!

Why was the angle of the camera changed? It is not nearly as interesting/informative as the other angle was. Not a happy viewer
Why was the placement of the new cam put in a useless position. Please put it back where it belongs!
