Michigan Webcams
Michigan, which means ‘large water’ is bordered by 4 of the 5 Great Lakes and has one of the largest number of recreational boats in the US. There are no less than 9 international crossings into Ontario, Canada from this border state and it has long cold winters with temperatures well below freezing for at least 6 months of the year (see the snowman webcam among other interesting Michigan Webcams!).
The capital city, Lansing, is overshadowed by the much larger Detroit, home to American automotive industry. Michigan is one of the leading growers of Christmas trees and home to Vernors soft drinks. The state’s lakes, beaches and forests are top tourist attractions, especially for the Tulip Time Festival and the National Cherry Festival.
