Romania is the largest country in southeast Europe, bordering the Black Sea. Its capital city, Bucharest has a population of 1.9 million people. Its elegant architecture earned the city the nickname ‘Little Paris of the East’ although many buildings have been destroyed by fire, war, earthquakes and Ceausescu’s communist regime.
