Ireland, or Eire as it is known, lies to the west of Great Britain separated from it by the Irish Sea. One sixth of this small island is governed by the United Kingdom; the remainder is a wonderful Celtic stronghold with almost 6 million population.
Known as the Emerald Isle for the wonderful greenery produced by the constant rainfall, it is a charming country with small towns and villages continuing a rural way of life unchanged in decades.
The capital city of Dublin is a Global City, well known for its architecture, music, history, culture, arts and many interesting sights. The street views from our Ireland Webcams capture a typical day in this colourful city. It is best known for its exports of linen, potatoes, Guinness and Whiskey.
