Belize is an English speaking country nestled between Guatemala, Mexico and the Carribean Sea. Hidden in the jungle-covered depths of its interior are impressive ancient Mayan ruins, but it’s offshore, beyond the immaculate beaches like the one in San Pedro, where some of it’s biggest natural treasures lie. It may not be quite as famous as the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, but the Belize Barrier Reef is a UNESCO World Heritage site teeming with fish life, unique marine flora and sadly for snorkelers, American crocodiles.
