Kansas Webcams
Kansas is slap-bang in the middle of the United States and is named after the Kansa Indians and the Kansas River which runs through the state. The prairies were once full of free-roaming bison but are now productive farmland with huge wheat fields and acres of sunflowers, the name given to the highest point in Kansas – Mount Sunflower.
Kansas has produced more than its fair share of inventors including Almon Stowger who invented the dial telephone, William Purvis and Charles Wilson who invented the helicopter and Omar Knedlik who created the first frozen carbonated drink machine. Our Kansas Webcams include some live robotic technology in downtown Wichita and views of the Santa Fe railway depot for railway buffs.
