Sun Valley is America’s oldest ski resort and snow sports remain a popular pastime, along with kayaking and whitewater rafting. Idaho's nickname is the Gem State because nearly every known gem has been found there including rare star garnets. It is the only place to find six pointed star garnets, should you ever need to know. Idaho city was founded around gold mining in the 1860s.
Idaho is also home the deepest gorge in America, Hell’s Canyon. The fabulous views from our Idaho webcam at Teton Valley are highly recommended.
