Rhode Island Webcams
Rhode Island is the smallest of the US states, measuring just 48 miles by 37 miles wide, but it is by no means the least important. It was the first of the thirteen original colonies to declare independence from British rule and the last to ratify the United States Constitution.
Despite its name, it is mostly on the mainland, although it has many large bays, beaches and inlets. This ‘Ocean state’ is very flat and its highest point is just 812 feet (247 m) above sea level at Jerimoth Hill. Residents suffer hot rainy summers and cold winters which you can see on our Rhode Island Webcams.
The state is famous for the first polo game, the first circus in the US, and the oldest carousel at Watch Hill.
